Atlanta String Academy aims to provide children and adults with the opportunity to learn to play instruments and make music a part of their lives. Founder Yulmarys 'Jewel' Zambrano, originally from Venezuela, grew up in El Sistema, where music was fun and facilitated exploration. She now aims to reach as many children as possible to make music together and have fun.

Lessons

Individual Lessons

We focus on posture, sound, and technique, applying different ways of learning like repetition and games.

Group Lessons

Once a week the students get together and learn a new repertoire in a multilevel setting. Here is where students learn to play fun songs like soundtracks from movies, and pop music, as well as academic music.

Recitals

The Atlanta String Academy presents two different recitals during the school year. The Fall recital is the last Friday in October, in which everyone wears their favorite costume.

The Spring recital happens in April, in which the students get to share their talent with the audience.
